The Ethical Shop is an online store dedicated to selling ethical, organic, sustainable, and eco-friendly gifts. It serves as an important revenue source for New Internationalist, a magazine that highlights global inequality and environmental issues. Every purchase made through The Ethical Shop directly supports the magazine, along with other charities and campaigning groups committed to positive change.
Initially, The Ethical Shop attempted to manage their own AdWords and paid marketing efforts. They soon realised that managing these campaigns required significant time and expertise. Staying ahead of competitors while managing ad spend efficiently requires constant monitoring and strategic decision-making. As a result, running campaigns in-house became overwhelming and pulled their focus away from their core mission.
By partnering with Gumpo, The Ethical Shop gained access to expert PPC management that allowed them to achieve their marketing goals without hassle. We took charge of their paid marketing strategy, making sure every penny of their budget was used effectively to drive conversions and generate consistent revenue.
Our collaboration has provided The Ethical Shop with a streamlined, stress-free approach to digital marketing. By managing their campaigns, we’ve ensured a cost-effective and sustainable way to drive consistent orders while steadily improving performance year over year. The Ethical Shop campaign performance follows strong seasonal trends, with spend and traffic peaking between September and December, and sales reaching their highest point in November.
Over the years, we’ve delivered notable improvements in CPA, CVR, and ROAS. As the PPC industry changed, we worked with The Ethical Shop to navigate them. The transition from Smart Shopping to Performance Max resulted in higher CPAs and lower CTR due to increased impressions. In spite of that, we were able to achieve a ROAS above 1700% and a conversion rate over 6% and have been able to increase that year after year, maintaining strong efficiency.
